Campout

We camped out, and a great time was had by all. But can you say cold? The overnight low was forecast for 38 degrees, and the mercury fell to every bit of that. We had one lady get up and drive home at about 0300 (she took considerable ribbing for that the next day). We had another lady who stands about 5'5'' borrow some coveralls from a man who stands about 6'4". She also took a considerable amount of ribbing (but she didn't care...she was warm). We had a hot dog roast and a marshmallow fight. We froze, but I would go do it again in a heartbeat. It was a great way to spend some special time with a group of people who have become very special to us before we leave. I already knew these people pretty well, but you get to know someone so much better when you get into an environment like that with them. Going on a church wide camp out was something I had intended to do for about 7 years. I could kick myself that we had not done it sooner. It is events like that which really build fellowship. These are some great, great people, and I am glad I have this memory of them as I go out from them on the new mission God has for me and my family.

We're glad you had great camp out. I guess you are getting more excited as things keep moving along. Two more Sundays and then you will be with your family. We'll have to get busy and plan a family get together. Love you and may God bless us all. Mom and Dad
